The Hermit, Brentwood Theatre’s and Brentwood Children’s Literary Festival have joined forces to bring the first mini three day festival to the borough this February.

Residents can enjoy creative events taking place at the Chicken and Frog Bookshop in Ongar Road, The Hermit Club and Brentwood Theatre in Shenfield Road.

“We’re encouraging children and adults alike to Get Into Arts! through free or low-cost workshops, classes and performances,” said a spokesman from Brentwood Theatre.

“We’ve got creative writing workshops, singing, drumming, illustration workshops, a rock school and film screenings, as well as great shows to watch and enjoy.

“The actives have been planned to entice, excite and enthuse a broad range of ages from babies to adults, interests and skill level.”

Brentwood Theatre’s foyer and cafe will be open every day of the festival with lots of interactive experiences to join in such as a drawing wall, ‘play me, I’m yours’ piano and a book swap.

The Brentwood Mini Fest runs from February 21 to 23. Visit brentwood-theatre.co.uk for more information.
