Dee from the kennels in Chivers Road, Brentwood, said: “If you like a challenge and are used to temperamental dogs then Rolo could be for you.

“He has improved so much whilst being here and he is now able to go out for walks and even enjoys the odd fuss here and there.

“He is a happy dog, loves to play fetch and does like a cuddle.

“He is 100per cent house trained and just needs a chance in an experienced home with no children.

“Rolo has been fine with all the dogs he has met but cats unknown.

“He has learnt his routine to a T in kennels and really wants to please and he is fine if you can understand and listen to his warnings.

“If you are experienced and have no younger or visiting younger children and you think you can offer Rolo his retirement home, then please get in touch.

“He deserves the chance.”

Rolo is microchipped, house trained and neutered but hasn’t been vaccinated as the experience has been too stressful for him.
