Hopefield Animal Sanctuary
Hopefield’s Sophie Kemp talks about the money raised for the sanctuary by some of the borough’s amazing residents.
We held our Kid's Inflatables Day on Saturday, May 18, and what a success it was! We raised over £6,300 and it was great to see so many supporters down at the sanctuary.
We're putting on Farmyard Fun at Hopefield every day next week for half-term, from 11am - 4pm.
There's going to be a farm-themed trail, arts & crafts, glitter tattoos and so much more!
We'll also be holding educational talks and public feeds with our goats at 12.00pm and our cows at 2.30pm!
This will be a great chance to learn about our amazing rescue animals, and understand more about why they're living with us at the sanctuary.
We want to say a massive thank you to the amazing team from Guy Carpenter Insurance who came down on Tuesday to lend a hand at the sanctuary, and also for raising an incredible £200 for us. It was great to have you and you were a pleasure to work with!
Introducing Tiki, our Goffin's Cockatoo.
He came to us a couple of years ago, after his previous owners had adopted him from another large organisation, but they realised they couldn't give him the time and attention that he needed. He now lives happy with Adelaide, the Galah, and loves pears and head scratches!
Check back next week to see what's been going on...
