This week, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary's Sophie Kemp speaks about a few new arrivals and its upcoming Halloween activities.

As you would have read in last week’s update, we welcomed a new arrival, Thor the goat.

His owners still haven’t come forward so it’s looking as though he will find his forever home with us at Hopefield.

Sunday marked National Reptile Awareness Day, where we introduced yet another new arrival - Pancake, the Bosc Monitor.

He came with a Peach Throated Monitor and a Beauty Snake, all of which came to us from another rescue who are at capacity.

Sadly, this is the case in most rescues now, as people don’t do enough research into the complex care that these specialist animals need.

This half-term is Halloween Week, and we’ve got a whole lot of stuff going on at the sanctuary including our spooky skeleton trail, our haunted barn, and ghoulish treats in our tearoom!

Kids that come in fancy dress will receive £1 off their entrance fee!

We can’t wait to haunt you!
