Hopefield Animal Sanctuary

This week, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary's Sophie Kemp tells us what's been happening at the charity as the days grow colder.

Last week, we were extremely busy with our Halloween-themed half term!

It was an extremely successful event and we loved welcoming you all down to the sanctuary!

At the weekend, we received a call from a lady who’d won a Christmas turkey from a raffle.

She did not agree with the idea and contacted the farm to ask if she could be given the turkey alive, to which they agreed, and he will be coming to us at the end of this week, to live out the rest of his days happily at Hopefield.

As the cold weather starts to creep in, our horses are being rugged, as you can see from the photo of Minnie!

It’s so important that our animals are all kept warm and looked-after during the colder months, as many of them are of senior age, and suffer from many health conditions.

Remember to visit Hopefield Animal Sanctuary this winter!
