Brentwood is being lit up for the festive season in a dazzling switch-on by the mayor.

Lighting Up Brentwood will stretch across the length of the High Street with 80 market stalls selling hot food and drinks, festive arts and crafts, together with Santa's Grotto, walkabout acts and other children's activities from 12.30pm-6pm on Saturday November 30.

The Christmas lights switch-on is the biggest event in the Brentwood calendar, and last year attracted an estimated 15,000 people. There is a packed programme of performances on three stages, primarily by local schools and talented community performers.

High Street - from Wilsons Corner to Kings Road

Part of St Thomas' is access only (from Queen's Road to St Thomas' you can turn right into Ingrace Road, but not left as this will be access only for stall holders).

If parcels need to be picked up, park up and then walk to the sorting office.

Hart Street will become two-way for the duration of the event only (usually one way).

William Hunter Way (disabled parking available in all).

An information point will be at the Pepperell House in the front of the Baytree Centre.

There will be stewards based here and throughout the event to offer support and advice.

There will be a programme going out on the day with the timings of the entertainments.
