Having already featured in our top 10 restaurants as chosen by Brentwood residents, it seems that Alec’s in Navestock Side, Brentwood, is proving very popular.

Need an idea for a last minute gift? One resident has recommended purchasing tickets for the upcoming community production of Godspell at the Brentwood Centre in June.

With fire breathing, circus acts and singer Chesney Hawkes taking on the lead role, the show is expected to be jam-packed with entertainment.

With 500 acres of diverse habitats, managed for its precious wildlife as well as the beautiful scenery, you’ll get to celebrate Valentine’s Day in the serene surroundings.

Having only opened its doors in December, seafood grill restaurant Felix, Warley, is the new kid on the block but has already gained a reputation for its mouth-watering food and elegant decor.

What also sets it aside from the rest is that as part of its ethos, staff have chosen to support Little Havens Hospice, Benfleet, by donating £1 from every table booking they receive. So you can indulge without guilt!

Walk at Warley Place Nature Reserve

Immerse yourself in nature this Valentine’s Day at the Warley Place Nature Reserve, run by the Essex Wildlife Trust.

This 25 acre reserve which is the site of a house and once famous Edwardian gardens belonging to Ellen Willmott, has some stunning flowers and one resident commented that it is a wonderful place to visit at sunset.
