The Brentwood Centre celebrates National Fitness Day

To mark National Fitness Day, the Brentwood Centre is working hard to encourage residents to get active this week.
The Brentwood Centre, Doddinghurst Road, Brentwood, are hosting a special event today, Wednesday, September 26, as well as sessions on Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29.
Today, there will be the ultimate Dry Biathlon challenge where people can try and get their best times for 2km on an upright or hand bike and then take on a 500m sprint on a static rower.
There will also be autism-friendly gym sessions and circuits for everyone to try out on the days as well as precision ball sport boccia.
National Fitness Day sees a huge range of activity options enjoyed by participants of all ages, such as “plank offs”, yoga and pilates classes, treadmill challenges, high-street HIIT classes, dance-offs, mass walks and many more.
A spokesman said: “National Fitness Day is a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK, helping us raise awareness of its importance in helping us lead healthier and active lifestyles.
